Background Information:

The committee for Troon Leisure Classes (TLC) is appointed at each AGM and tasked with managing TLC classes by, and on behalf of, the TLC Members (the TLC students). The TLC Committee must have a minimum of 5 members to carry out its functions, and ideally should have 7-8 members. Recent efforts to recruit and retain Committee Members have unfortunately not proved successful, and there are now only 3 active Committee Members for TLC.

In the event that the Committee does not have sufficient members to operate on behalf of TLC, TLC Members must decide if and how the organisation is to proceed. These proposals / motions can be made and seconded by TLC Members, and will be decided by a simple majority of votes by TLC Members at the above meeting on 29th July 2018.

Troon Leisure Classes (TLC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing affordable recreational skills and language classes in South Ayrshire for adults.

Our non-vocational classes run across four areas: Art & Design, Languages, Sport & Fitness and Learning & Life. We strive to make our classes friendly and sociable.

Classes normally take place from September to December and then January to March/April, each year.

Thank you for your interest and support in Troon Leisure Classes.

*** Unfortunately after 30 years we will no longer be offering the Woodwork and Woodturning class. We cannot bring in an external Tutor as South Ayrshire Council have advised that the Tutor has to be employed in Either Marr College or Prestwick Academy  to allow the tools to be used. This would limit any tools just to those which students could bring in hence little woodwork could be done.
